Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for analyzing financial documents such as invoices, receipts, expense reports and other documents such as purchase orders in order to ensure accuracy, reliability and validity of documents and financial data;
- Responsible for verifying and systematizing the documents justifying the expenses incurred, and their correct physical and digital storage, including scans and photocopies when and if necessary, on a monthly basis;
- Support to the Accountant and Administrator in organizing all the documents necessary for national and international audits, and support throughout the audit processes;
- Support to the Accountant in the classification and release of accounting documents through the accounting software used in AIFO;
- Support to the Accountant in the introduction in the Internet banking System of financial transactions to be approved by the Project
- Coordinator and/or the National Directorate;
- Support to the Accountant in the management of working capital;
- Support to the Accountant in the reconciliation of cashiers and bank accounts on a weekly basis;
- Support to the Administrator in the preparation of calculations for the payment of losses foreseen within the scope of the activities to be implemented, in accordance with internal policies and/or other applicable ones;
- Support for the Administrator in complying with tax obligations and other labor procedures, such as preparing a Vacation Plan, Nominal List, payment of INSS, IRPS, etc.;
- Support to the technical team and the National Administration with the procurement processes to be carried out locally (request and collection of quotes, preparation of BID Analysis, preparation of PO and internal payment requests);
- Monitoring the good conservation of the office equipment given to the project team;
- Any other task requested by the Administrative Coordinator, in agreement with the National Directorate, within the scope of administration, procurement and logistics.
Requirements
- Medium Degree in Economics/Accounting/Finance or Business Administration;
- Minimum of one (1) year of accounting and financial management experience, ideally within a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO);
- Great computer skills (great command of Microsoft Office suite applications, with emphasis on Excel);
- Experience in using computerized accounting software and/or ERP systems;
- Excellent communication skills in Portuguese (spoken and written);
- Solid knowledge of the application of current labor and tax legislation;
- Residence or domicile in Maputo will be favorably considered.
