    Semente & Victorino Consulting (“SVC”) is a strategy and consulting firm focused on Human Resources Consultancy, Provision of Temporary Labor and Corporate Immigration Service, whose mission is to provide strategic and innovative business solutions to its clients, with the aim of promoting and facilitating their domestic. Within this scope, SVC is currently recruiting a General Manager
    (M/F) for its client in Maputo.

    LOCAL: Maputo


    • Manage insurance brokerage operations;
    • Liaise with Insurance companies and ensure that partnership continuity;
    • Responsible for the daily sales and operational performance of the insurance sales team;
    • Responsible for generating an adequate volume of qualified leads to meet the sales targets for insurance products through
      various marketing efforts including marketing, media placements, partnerships with local organizations, etc.;
    • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching and managing the selling team;
    • Responsible to ensure that customers have their problems solved on time;
    • Responsible for maintaining and growing strategic partnerships with other insurance companies;
    • Responsible for developing sales forecasts and for meeting daily, weekly and monthly sales targets for each insurance
      product line;
    • Develop and implement winning sales and marketing strategies;
    • Closely monitor the operations cost of acquisition to make sure that all sales are increasingly profitable;
    • Design and implement a referral system to grow memberships at low costs and drive down overall lead costs;
    • Drive process efficiencies and cost effectiveness processes while preserving customer satisfaction;
    • Monitor and report on daily sales performance data;
    • Ensure sales team members are in compliance with Company policies and local insurance regulations;
    • Keep abreast of current trends in the insurance solutions that affect product offerings and strategies;
    • Manage expenses and direct operational effectiveness enhancements.


    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
    • 10+ years of experience in both direct sales and managing insurance brokers
    • Proven experience leading and growing an insurance brokerage operations or insurance agency
    • Deep knowledge of Insurance products and carriers
    • Proven track record of consistently meeting sales targets for insurance products
    • Experience in managing large, strategic accounts is advantageous
    • Experience working with Insurance companies at all levels is advantageous
    • Ability to identify business trends, changes in market conditions, and competitor activity is advantageous
    • Ability to collaborate across different business groups with individuals at various levels
    • Fluent in both Portuguese and English
