ABOUT THE ROLE:
- This role is a permanent full-time position.
As a Manager Maintenance North, you will be responsible to provides leadership at a strategic and tactical level to ensure maintenance of plant equipment, process control coding and infrastructure of the operational assets and asset systems in accordance with the Engineering Blueprint. Establish a work environment that is planned and predictable which results in safe and efficient work execution.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Owns the material Risk Profile for Maintenance and verifies material risk critical controls are appropriately designed, deployed and effective;
- Provide leadership to direct reports and maintenance workgroups to ensure requirements of the Safety System of Work are being met and complied to while focusing on delivery of plan execution;
- Coach and mentor direct reports in effective leadership and accountability;
- Validates that Maintenance generated changes are carried out via engineering requests and performed by the Engineering function;
- Drives the consistent expectations, understanding and application of Maintenance processes across the sub-functions to enable
- compliance with Group and local requirements.
- Identifies, builds and develops Maintenance talent and capability, including a pipeline of talent for key positions;
- Drive initiatives to optimise the utilisation of existing business processes, practices and systems to improve the overall performance of the function;
- Verify employees and contractors adhere to work standards, are competent, and understand the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to their work.
ABOUT YOU:
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- 10+ years’ experience in Maintenance and / or Engineering within a heavy industry environment with at least 5 years’ experience in a leadership capacity leading diverse teams;
- Professional that has guided, developed and influenced practices and strategies in Maintenance function;
- Detailed knowledge of principles and concepts related to asset management, able to assess and improve the maturity of an asset management function;
- Ability to set standards, drive accountability and take disciplinary actions;
- Lead project teams and influence horizontally and vertically in the organization, setting up a maintenance scorecard, setting targets and deploying it;
- Demonstrated experience in Health, Safety, Environment and Risk management including processes, systems and reporting, understanding of the relevant legislation and applicable regulations.
Qualifications for this role are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or similar;
